Tibberton CE Primary School is situated in a delightful village not far from the Shropshire town of Newport, UK. We were awarded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in 2013 and are very proud or our school, it's children and staff. Tibberton School aims to provide each individual child with an attractive, stimulating, caring learning environment, where all members of its community are valued. High standards of work and behaviour are insisted upon and achieved.
Pupils leaving our school at the end of their time with us have a number of choices of Secondary School to consider:
A place is available for pupils transferring to secondary school at eleven years who reside in the appropriate area.
A voluntary eleven plus selection procedure is used in the Newport area primary schools for girls residing in that area. All applications are to be made through school with support of parents.
This Foundation school runs an independent assessment procedure for the selection of boys at eleven years. Applications must be made direct to Adams' Grammar School.
This school provides secondary education for children of the Roman Catholic faith.
Other secondary schools are available in the surrounding area by negotiation with the Local Education Authority. Information booklets for secondary schools in the Newport area are issued to Year Six pupils annually and an Information Evening is held in school for Year 6 parents and carers to talk with the Head and Year 6 teacher about issues linked to transition from Year 6 to Year 7.
Pupil transfer information and statistics are issued annually to parents and can be see on our Pupil Information page.
