Tibberton CE Primary School is situated in a delightful village not far from the Shropshire town of Newport, UK. We were awarded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in 2013 and are very proud or our school, it's children and staff. Tibberton School aims to provide each individual child with an attractive, stimulating, caring learning environment, where all members of its community are valued. High standards of work and behaviour are insisted upon and achieved.
Tibberton C.E. Primary School is a thriving village school catering for the educational needs of children from rising five up to eleven years of age. It stands in the centre of the village and shares large playing fields with the community.
The school opened in the present building in 1971, when Sambrook and Tibberton schools were amalgamated into one school. The accommodation consists of five classrooms and a central school hall which is equipped with P.E. equipment and serves as a gymnasium and dining room, as well as the assembly and function hall.
To the side and rear of the school building we have extensive outside play areas to explore. We have marked out playgrounds, picnic areas, gardens and canopied areas too. In addition to our enclosed areas, we also have use of the extensive playing field beyond the school's boundary.
In discussion with other parents and local residents, the whole of Maslan Crescent has been designated a safe school zone. Residents' parking bays have been relined to establish clear parking spaces and parents may use these if this is only for a short time at the start and end of the school day. Please do not remain in these spaces for an extended period of time, as they belong to the residents.
If there is nowhere else, you may park briefly in Maslan Crescent, but please do not obstruct residents' drives or park too close to the school crossing as this reduces visibility.
There is no parking in the short approach road to the school car park, and the school car park itself is out of bounds, as pupils are particularly vulnerable in these areas.
Please see the Headteacher to request the use of a parking space for a disabled child or any other significant reason.
A voluntary one-way system operates successfully around Maslan Crescent at the start and end of the school day – in at the Sutherland Arms end and out at the red phone box end.
